Ben Collins-Siegel is a young, rising jazz pianist from Maplewood, New Jersey, born in 2007. He started playing piano at age four, initially focusing on classical music before transitioning to jazz through the Jazz House Kids program. He has studied under notable musicians such as Julius Tolentino and Bob Himmelberger.

Next Generation Jazz Orchestra at Monterey Jazz Festival

Ben has performed at prestigious venues and festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Steinway Hall in New York City. He has played alongside prominent jazz artists like Christian McBride, Russell Malone, and Aaron Diehl. His accolades include being named a 2023 YoungArts finalist, a member of the 2023 Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, and a participant in the 2024 Vail Jazz Workshop. He has also won multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards in the High School Jazz Soloist category and received the Steinway & Sons Jazz Piano Award and Scholarship in 2023.

Ben is a member of The Baker Street Trio with bassist Ryoma Takenaga and drummer Ben Schwartz. The Baker Street Trio has opened for Bernie William and performed at the Montclair Jazz Festival, the Jazz Forum in Tarrytown, NY, the National Arts Club (honoring Christian McBride), Brush Culture, the New Jersey Jazz Society’s Virtual Social, as well as various other venues in New Jersey and New York. Ben has studied with other notable artists such as Oscar Perez, Fred Hersch, Aaron Diehl, Radam Schwartz, Jason Teborek, and Zev Babbitt.
